LATE CHRISTMAS THOUGHTS FOR PRESERVERS
A quieter Christmas with my new hip
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas
I have been planning this Christmas for some time – ever since I was offered a date for a new replacement hip in early December and realised that I would be a tad out of action in the kitchen.
And a new hip is a wonderful Christmas present.
Christmas is, however, the time of year when the preserves you have been making throughout the year come into use.
I was able to make and stock up on some seasonal preserves before going into hospital. Good for preserves.
If you are not in that position and are still deciding what to prepare here are some links to previous festive posts which can be produced swiftly.
The first is my favourite cranberry and orange chutney which can be knocked up very quickly and then for mincemeat, for use in many recipes.
I also look forward to enjoying the chestnut jam which is quick to prepare but will not last so long.
Finally some gift ideas for fellow preservers for that last minute shop.
With some help from the family I look forward to celebrating with all.
Merry Christmas
Pippa
I look forward to new ideas for all preserves in 2017.
Happy New Year
